Preamble
We, the signatories of this memorandum of cooperation, agree, in a spirit of mutual respect, to work in support of women and minorities, victim of conflicts in the region. This shall be achieved, through close cooperation between the NGO L’AFAM and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
Responsibilities of L’AFAM
- To make known the reality of suffering and communicate effective solutions to help victims
- To deploy a significant mechanism for mobilizing and collecting resources for the creation and implementation of solutions.
- To implement actions, support projects to prepare women to take charge of their future and improve the quality of life of their community.
- To develop a partnership between government and non-governmental organizations working in the field and find synergy to optimize resources and complement their interventions with additional innovative and specific actions.
- To set up management and information tools to inform patrons, support organizations and governance members about the monitoring and results of actions undertaken
Responsibilities of the KRG
- Supporting L’AFAM Action in Kurdistan and Europe
- Provide L’AFAM with the infrastructure necessary for its action
- Facilitate meetings between L’AFAM representatives and KRG representatives
- Invite L’AFAM to possible conferences and events organized by the KRG
- Participate, alongside L’AFAM, in contacts and meetings with international governmental and non-governmental partners
- Facilitate the local action of L’AFAM teams traveling in the Country
Duration
This cooperation memorandum will be reviewed regularly and will remain in place until one of the two partners informs the other in writing of its wish to terminate the agreement of cooperation.
